Watch: Trump Rips Mic Off Podium After ‘Fix The Mic’ Chant During Election Rally

Donald Trump dramatically rips a faulty microphone off the podium during a Milwaukee speech
Former US President and Republican nominee Donald Trump faced technical difficulties during his rally at Milwaukee’s Fiserv Forum on Friday night, prompting him to rip a malfunctioning microphone off its stand.
As the audience chanted “Fix the mic,” Trump responded, “Oh the mic? Yeah, I think this mic stinks,” before opting to hold the microphone himself. During his speech, which lasted nearly 90 minutes, Trump voiced frustration over the sound issues, stating, “I’m seething. I’m working my a– off with this stupid mic.”
Wisconsin Campaign
The former US president humourously added that he had never held a microphone for such an extended period. The rally was part of a competitive campaign event in Wisconsin, where Trump and US Vice President Kamala Harris held separate rallies just miles apart.
While Trump focused on familiar campaign themes such as immigration and economic recovery, Harris emphasised unity and cooperation among Americans. Both candidates are vying for crucial support in a state pivotal to the upcoming 2024 election.
PRESIDENT TRUMP: Kamala’s closing message to Americans is that she hates you. My closing message is that I love America—and I am inviting you to join us in building an extraordinary future for our nation. Harris and Trump traded barbs across battleground states Friday before converging on Wisconsin’s biggest city for competing rallies, a dramatic split-screen image in the final days of a volatile presidential race.
70 million Americans
More than 70 million Americans have already cast their ballots — 45 percent of the 2020 total — ahead of Election Day on Tuesday. Opinion polls show Trump and Harris running dead even, with victory depending on who prevails across the seven swing states.
Both held a full day of campaign events, with Harris attending rallies and visiting a union hall in Wisconsin while Trump stumped for votes in neighboring battleground Michigan. “Everything we have been fighting for these past four years comes down to the next four days,” Trump told supporters in Warren, Michigan.
Trump notably campaigned Friday in Dearborn, Michigan, home to the nation’s largest Arab-American community, where outrage over Israel’s war in Gaza has alienated many Muslims from the Democratic Party.
