WATCH: Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy Takes A Cheeky Dig At Tottenham Fans
Jamie Vardy for Leicester City (X)
It is not Vardy’s second-half strike that has the internet talking. Rather, it is Vardy’s cheeky message for Tottenham that has now gone viral on social media.
Leicester City marked their return to the Premier League in an emphatic fashion. Jamie Vardy scored an equalizer for the Foxes to salvage a point against Tottenham in the Premier League.
But it is not Vardy’s second-half strike that has the internet talking. Rather, it is Vardy’s cheeky message for Tottenham that has now gone viral on social media.
In a now-viral video on X (formerly Twitter), the 37-year-old can be seen pointing at his Premier League badge, presumably trying to remind the Tottenham fans that he has already lifted the trophy and the Lilywhites have not yet been successful in achieving it.
The English striker even engaged in a spat with Spurs fans and defender Cristian Romero. A report published by GOAL claimed that, before coming off the field, Vardy told Romero to “f*** off.”

Reacting to Jamie Vardy’s antics, one social media user commented, “Great to have him back in the Premier League.”
“Vardy started late so low mileage in his legs and lucky with injuries, still shows hunger. Maybe not at PL level but he can continue for a few years yet if he wants too,” read another response.
One X user wrote, “If they had a Mr. Leicester like Mr. West Ham, it’s gotta be Vardy! Through the highs and lows he’s been a faithful servant to the club!”
Recalling Leicester City’s Premier League-winning campaign, this person commented, “That 15/16 season was something special. Crazy time in the PL and a crazy time for life in general. Miss those days.”
“You either have it or you don’t man. Vardy prime example. Too much molly coddling for people’s favourite players. You don’t need endless recovery and pre season to be up to speed. Big up Jamie vardy good to see him in the prem again. Hope Leicester stay up,” observed another social media user.
Tottenham clinched a one-goal lead in the first half after Pedro Porro found the back of the net at the King Power Stadium. Jamie Vardy came up with a terrific header in the second half to rescue a point for Leicester City. With this, Vardy now has scored nine Premier League goals in 17 appearances against Tottenham.
