UPSC Civil Service Mains 2024 Exam dates: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the schedule for the Civil Services Examination (CSE) Mains 2024. The UPSC CSE Mains will be held from September 20 to September 29, with exams conducted in two sessions each day, with the morning session from 9 to 12 PM and the afternoon session from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.
Candidates who had passed and qualified the UPSC CSE Prelims 2024 exam are eligible to take the UPSC Civil Service Mains Examination 2024.The results for the UPSC CSE Prelims 2024 were released earlier on July 1, following the preliminary exam held on June 16. A total of 14,627 candidates were declared successful in the prelims.

Sept 21th Paper-II: General Studies-I Paper-III: General Studies-II

Sept 29th Paper-VI: Optional Subject-Paper-1 Paper-VII: Optional Subject-Paper-2

Indian Language (Paper-A) options include: Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, Dogri, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Kashmiri, Konkani, Maithili, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Nepali, Odia, Punjabi, Sanskrit, Santhali (Devanagari/Olchiki Script), Sindhi (Devanagari/Arabic Script), Tamil, Telugu, Urdu.
Optional Subject (Paper-VI & Paper-VII) options include: Agriculture, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Anthropology, Botany, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Commerce & Accountancy, Economics, Electrical Engineering, Geography, Geology, History, Law, Management, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Medical Science, Philosophy, Physics, Political Science & International Relations, Psychology, Public Administration, Sociology, Statistics, Zoology, Literature of any one language listed above.
This year, the UPSC aims to fill 1,056 vacancies, including 40 seats reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD).
