UP Tourism and MakeMyTrip partner to boost state’s tourism Industry
The Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with online travel giant MakeMyTrip. This strategic partnership aims to leverage data and expertise to create a more informed and enjoyable travel experience for tourists visiting Uttar Pradesh.
MakeMyTrip will act as a strategic partner, providing the Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department with valuable insights into consumer trends, tourist preferences, and supply-side information.This data will be instrumental in shaping future tourism policies and initiatives.
“Uttar Pradesh has immense potential for tourism, and MakeMyTrip will be a partner in realizing this potential,” stated Mukesh Kumar Meshram, Principal Secretary of the Department of Tourism and Culture. He elaborated on how tourist behavior gleaned from online searches can inform policy decisions. “Travelers often explore nearby areas and support local businesses. MakeMyTrip’s data will help us understand these preferences and create targeted tourism packages.”
