Bad Newz, starring Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, and Ammy Virk, releases in theaters today, July 19. Ahead of the release, a special screening was held in Mumbai on Thursday, drawing the attention of fans and industry insiders alike.
At the screening, Triptii Dimri’s rumoured boyfriend, Sam Merchant, finally got to watch Bad Newz and shared his thoughts on social media.He took to Instagram to review the film. He posted a clip of Vicky Kaushal and Triptii Dimri’s song, Tauba Tauba, playing on the big screen. In his Instagram story, Sam tagged Triptii and wrote, “Great performance…Thoroughly entertaining,” adding “ufff” with a red heart emoji.

Triptii Dimri has been gaining attention since her role in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal alongside Ranbir Kapoor. Her performance earned her the nickname ‘Bhabhi 2’ and she has become a national crush, winning the hearts of many fans. Despite her growing fame, she has a special place in her heart for her rumored boyfriend, Sam Merchant.

Last month, Triptii shared a photo on Instagram of herself enjoying a boat ride with friends, including Sam. She used the photo to wish their friend Jeetu Sadarangani a happy birthday. In the picture, the group is seen aboard a speedboat, heading to an undisclosed location. A few months ago, the 30-year-old actress was also spotted in Mumbai with Sam on several occasions.

Directed by Anand Tiwari, the film seems to be a successor to the 2019 hit Good Newwz, which starred Kareena Kapoor Khan, Akshay Kumar, Kiara Advani and Diljit Dosanjh in the lead roles. Bad Newz is co-produced by Tiwari, along with Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta and Amritpal Singh Bindra.
