This latest encounter with the terrorist comes a day after police in the Union Territory (UT) arrested three terror associates of the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) outfit, who were involved in the grenade attack at a popular flea market that left 12 people injured.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Usama Yasin Sheikh, Umar Fayaz Sheikh, and Afnan Mansoor Sheikh. All three are from the Ikhrajpora area of the city, said Inspector General of Police Kashmir Zone VK Birdi.
He added that a case under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) has been registered against the trio.
