HYDERABAD: Three days after a 32-year-old Hanumankonda native, Arukonda Rajesh, was found dead in Mississipi in the US, his death continues to be shrouded in mystery.
Rajesh’s mother Neelamma, who lives in Atmakur, said her son’s death was shocking and that they are clueless under what circumstances he had died.
“The family was informed that he was in a coma for two days and passed away on Aug 15,” a close family associate, Bomma Srinivas, told STOI.
The news of Rajesh’s death was conveyed to the family by a person named Shiva, who hails from Parkal and lives in the US. “We do not exactly know what happened to Rajesh and how he died. The family is unable to come to terms with this tragic news,” Srinivas said.
Rajesh had gone to the US in 2015 to pursue a master’s degree and stayed back there as he reportedly got a job. Last year, he paid a visit to his village following the death of his father Arukonda Sambaiah.
Meanwhile, the state govt has written to the Indian embassy in Washington and the ministry of external affairs to help coordinate with the local authorities and the hospital to send the mortal remains of Rajesh to Telangana as requested by the family.
