Shalini Passi says Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan are like ‘family to us’: ‘My son and Aryan also went to university together’
Delhi-based art connoisseur and socialite Shalini Passi has become a major talking point since her appearance on Fabulous Lives vs. Bollywood Wives. On the show, she shared screen space with Maheep Kapoor, Bhavana Pandey, Neelam Soni, Seema Sajdeh, Kalyani Saha Chawla, and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni. In a recent interview, Shalini opened up about her close ties to Shah Rukh Khan and his wife, Gauri Khan.
In a conversation with India Today Digital, Shalini revealed that her husband, Sanjay Passi, and Gauri were once neighbors in Delhi. She shared that Sanjay and Shah Rukh grew up together, and even their sons, Robin and Aryan, attended university together. “My husband and Gauri were neighbors in Delhi, and they grew up together. Shah Rukh and my husband studied together, and my son and Aryan also went to university together. We are very close; they are like family to us,” she expressed warmly.
Throughout the show, Shalini spoke fondly of her long-standing bond with Gauri, regularly attending her events and store openings. She praised Gauri’s grounded nature, attributing it to her Delhi roots and her father’s background in the army.

“Gauri being from Delhi, and with her father being in the army, has this amazing quality of remaining grounded. It’s rare to maintain that in our industry. Gauri is a very solid person, whether it comes to her family or her friends. When she visits Delhi, she always makes it a point to meet her school and college friends and spend time with them. It’s truly a pleasure to know her and the entire family,” Shalini shared.
