Bigg Boss 17 fame Samarth Jurel was recently hospitalised after suffering an injury during a high-intensity action scene.
Bigg Boss 17 sensation Samarth Jurel is all set to enter Bollywood. The actor is currently busy filming for his untitled debut project, but his commitment came with a price. Recent reports from Pinkvilla suggest that the actor was hospitalised after suffering an injury while performing a high-intensity action scene. Despite being injured, the Udaariyan fame showed professionalism as he stayed back on set and finished the shoot to keep things on track. Following his hospitalisation, the filming has been temporarily shut. Reportedly, the actor refused to use a body double during the action sequence, which led to an unfortunate mishap during the complex action choreography.
Following the on-set accident, Jurel sustained a fracture and muscle tear. The production team quickly stopped filming to ensure he received immediate medical care. Despite his injury, Jurel finished the shoot to prevent delays. Meanwhile, sources close to the production revealed that to portray the historical character authentically, he decided to perform the demanding stunts himself.
As of now, it’s not yet clear how long Samarth Jurel will be kept under medical observation, but we hope he returns to the set soon. Fans are eager to see his dedication and hard work on the big screen.
Earlier, the Bigg Boss star surprised his fans with his rugged and intense look on Instagram. Since then, he has been sharing behind-the-scenes glimpses from the untitled project, but he has kept the identity of his character a secret.
Meanwhile, a source close to the production earlier informed ETimes, “Samarth Jurel is all set to play a historical character from the 16th-17th century for which he has been working out day and night and has outgrown his beard. The actor who has never played any character of this type will be seen in a never-seen-before avatar.”
Before starting work on his Bollywood movie, Samarth Jurel was set to join his Bigg Boss co-contestant Abhishek Kumar on Khatron Ke Khiladi 14. The show, hosted by Rohit Shetty, was scheduled to be filmed in Romania. However, Jurel backed out from the show unexpectedly just before it began for unknown reasons.
Other than Abhishek, KKK14 include Krishna Shroff, Shalin Bhanot, Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia, Karan Veer Mehra, Kedar Aashish Mehrotraa, Aditi Sharma, Gashmeer Mahajani, Niyati Fatnani and Sumona Chakravarti.
