Russia Detains Uzbek Man Over Nuclear Chief’s Murder, Blames West ‘Accomplices’, US Denies Role

Russia’s security service has detained a 29-year-old Uzbek man over the killing of Russia’s chemical weapons chief and his assistant in Moscow. Lt Gen Igor Kirillov, was killed on Dec.17 after a scooter with a remotely detonated explosive blew up outside a residential block, just 7 km from the Kremlin. “An Uzbek citizen, born in 1995, was arrested on suspicion of having committed the attack”, the Investigative Committee, which probes major crimes in Russia, said.
