New Liverpool manager Slot earned his first PL home win at the helm of the Merseyside club with strikes from Luis Diaz and Mohammed Salah handing the reds a 2-0 win over visiting Brentford.
Liverpool continued their winning start to the Premier League 2024-25 campaign with a resounding 2-0 win over visiting Brentford at Anfield on Sunday.
Arne Slot earned his first PL home win at the helm of the Merseyside club with strikes from Luis Diaz and Mohammed Salah, in either half of the game.
Diaz put Liverpool ahead in the 17th minute of the game as he belted the ball into the roofing of the net after being played through by Diogo Jota as Liverpool broke efficiently on the counter.
Salah got the insurance goal to give the hosts all three points in the game with an exquisite finish into the far corner past an advancing goalkeeper in fine fashion.

The triumph marked Liverpool’s second of the season in as many games following their win at Ipswich Town a week ago by the same scoreline.
London side Chelsea hit six past Wolves in the earlier game on the day as Enzo Maresca’s men registered an emphatic 6-2 win on the road to earn the manager’s first points as the Blues boss.
