PGCIL Recruitment 2024: Application deadline for Diploma Trainee and JOT posts extended to 19th November

PGCIL Recruitment 2024: The Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) has extended the deadline for online applications for several key posts, including Diploma Trainee (Electrical/Civil), Junior Officer Trainee (HR/F&A), and Assistant Trainee (F&A). The revised last date for submission is now 19th November 2024, with applications accepted until 11:59 pm on that date.
This extension provides a crucial opportunity for candidates who were yet to complete their applications for these roles, which were first advertised in October 2024. The original deadline for application submission was 12th November, but the new cut-off gives potential applicants a few extra days to finalise their forms.
PGCIL’s recruitment drive is targeting a total of 802 vacancies across these positions, and the updated timeline is expected to draw a larger pool of applicants. The positions include a range of roles, with candidates sought for both technical and administrative functions.
The recruitment notice, which was published on 22nd October, outlines several important dates for applicants. Online applications began on 21st October, and the application process will close on 19th November 2024. Applicants should note that the eligibility criteria, including age, educational qualifications, and category status, will still be calculated as of 12th November 2024.

General, OBC, and EWS candidates applying for Assistant Trainee roles are required to pay Rs. 200, while those applying for other posts must pay Rs. 300. Candidates from SC, ST, PWD, and Ex-Servicemen categories are exempt from the application fee.
The selection process will involve an examination, which is expected to take place in January or February 2025. The company encourages all interested candidates to complete their applications promptly, ensuring they meet the extended deadline.
