Pannun Announces New Dates Of Temple Attacks In Canada, India Terms Threats ‘Terror Acts’: Intel Sources

The SFJ founder said they would target Indian diplomats at Hindu temples on November 16-17, blaming them for the assassination of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar
Sikhs For Justice (SFJ) founder Gurpatwant Singh Pannun has announced new dates of temple attacks in Canada and issued an open threat to Hindu MP Chandan Arya, triggering a response from India which termed the actions “terror acts”.
In his threat, Pannun said SFJ would target Indian diplomats at Hindu temples on November 16-17. “We will shake the foundations of Ayodhya… the Canadian PM, RCMP have acknowledged that Indian diplomats spy on Canadian Sikhs and are responsible for the assassination of Shaheed Nijjar… NEXT Challenge to Indian Terrorist diplomats will be: 16 November At Kalibari Mandir, Mississauga and 17 November, Triveni Mandir, Brampton [sic]”.
Hitting out at the Justin Trudeau-led government, the intel sources said: “The Canadian government can’t just relax and ignore these threats. All activities in the name of freedom of speech are nothing but terror acts. The Canada government is whitewashing the probe in earlier attacks. There has been a deliberate diplomatic breakdown to promote these activities.”
Meanwhile, the sources have also flagged the Canadian police’s “open support” to the Khalistani movement after CNN-News18 accessed a video of Surrey Police officers sword-fighting under the Khalistani flag.
Commenting on the video, top government sources said: “This video is available to us and it is very alarming as this raises a question mark on the impartiality of Surrey Police. This proves the statement of MP Chandan Arya who said Khalistani elements have entered Canadian Police. The Trudeau government is allowing these elements to please Jagmeet Singh whom they are dependent on for the next bills in February 2025.”
They added: “Two days ago, violent Khalistani mobs with swords and weapons were looking for Hindus in cars to attack them. No action has been taken by the Canadian Police. Instead, there is open support to radical goons and terrorists against the Indian diaspora, Hindus and moderate Sikhs. The optics from Sikh officials is really alarming.”
The attacks on Hindu temples began on a large scale in the last one year, including the firing at the house of Satish Sharma, president of Surrey’s Lakshmi Narayan Mandir.
On Sunday, November 3, protesters carrying Khalistani flags clashed with devotees at a Hindu temple in Brampton. The Laxmi Narayan Mandir in Surrey was attacked the same day.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi strongly condemned the “deliberate attack” in Brampton and termed the violence a “cowardly attempt” to intimidate Indian diplomats in the country. “I strongly condemn the deliberate attack on a Hindu temple in Canada. Equally appalling are the cowardly attempts to intimidate our diplomats. Such acts of violence will never weaken India’s resolve. We expect the Canadian government to ensure justice and uphold the rule of law,” said PM Modi in an X post.
