Pakistan is looking to go all out to push terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir and has opened up a new infiltration front through the Punjab province, top intelligence agency sources said on Tuesday.

CNN-News18 has accessed sensational new details of the terror launch pads set up by Pakistan, having already reported that there are about 50 foreign terrorists in the Jammu region.

According to the sources, infiltration is happening through an active tunnel in the Samba sector.

There are around 20 to 25 terrorists in the Doda-Kishtwar-Ramban area who have come from Pakistan’s Punjab province, they said. There are reports that they have sneaked in through the Punjab sector also.

According to intelligence sources, this infiltration has happened in the last three months only.

Another set of infiltrations has happened in the Sunderbani and Uri sectors, they said.

“There are around 25 terrorists in the Uri belt, including in Reasi,” said a source. “There are sightings in recent days in Jammu district towards the Akhnoor side also. The main launchpads through which terrorists are coming are from Shakargarh, Sialkot, and Zafarwal from the Punjab side. Another infiltration is happening through Bagh, Kotli, Nalli, Samani, Tarkundi, and Nakial.”

According to intelligence sources, Pakistan is taking advantage of long borders and earlier BSF caught terrorists even through drones.

Apart from this, they said, weapons, ammunition, and drugs are regularly coming through the Punjab area to feed the expenses of local overground workers (OGWs) and terrorists who are infiltrating.

CNN-News18 already reported how Pakistan is changing its strategy regularly to keep terror activities going in the region.

After Kashmir drying up, it has explored new areas, which is a cause of major concern because of the difficult terrain and Army establishments in these parts, said sources.
