Nivin Pauly seeks investigation into ‘false sexual assault allegations’, demands probe by State Police Chief and Special Investigation Team: Report | Malayalam Movie News

Actor Nivin Pauly has requested the State Police Chief and the Special Investigation Team (SIT) investigating sexual harassment allegations in the Malayalam film industry to examine what he describes as a “fake complaint” against him. According to reports, this complaint led the Ernakulam rural police to file a First Information Report (FIR) against the actor on Tuesday (September 2).
In his petition, as reported by The Hindu, Nivin Pauly urged the authorities to uncover any conspiracy behind the complaint.He explained that at the time the woman accused him of sexual abuse in Dubai, he was in Kerala filming a movie. To support his claim, Pauly provided evidence, including his passport, proving he hadn’t traveled abroad during the alleged incident. He called for a swift investigation to clear his name and pledged full cooperation.

The FIR, registered by the Oonnukal police, names Nivin Pauly as the sixth accused in a case involving charges such as gang rape. The other accused include producer A.K. Sunil, Shreya, Binu, Basheer, and Kuttan. The case has now been handed over to the SIT.
On the same evening the woman accused him of sexual assault, Nivin Pauly held a press conference, where he proclaimed his innocence, stating that he had never met the woman who filed the complaint. He vowed to fight the false accusations through legal means and assured that he had no intention of evading the investigation.

Vineeth Sreenivasan, a director and long-time friend of Pauly, also expressed his support. Vineeth mentioned that he was with Nivin during the film shoot on the days the actor was accused of being in Dubai. His ‘Varshangalkku Shesham’ co-star, actress Parvathy Krishna, also shared a video stating that Nivin was with her in Kerala for the shoot and was not in Dubai.
