NIRF Ranking 2024: Hindu College secures the top spot among colleges, check the list of Top 10 in India

The Ministry of Education has announced the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) ranks 2024, today, August 12, 2024. This is the ninth edition of the report. The Hindu College, New Delhi, climbed to the first position in the Colleges category with Miranda House securing second, and St. Stephen’s and Rama Krishna Mission Vivekananda Centenary College bagging the third positions.The rankings are based on several parameters such as teaching, learning, resources, graduation outcomes, research, perception, outreach, and inclusivity.

NIRF College Rankings 2024 Vs. 2023

In 2023, Miranda House held the top spot, followed by Hindu College. However, this year, the positions have reversed with Hindu College now claiming first place and Miranda House moving to the second spot. St. Stephen’s College has made a significant leap, rising from 14th place last year to the third spot this year.
Rama Krishna Mission Vivekananda Centenary College in Kolkata has also seen a notable rise, moving up from 8th position in 2023 to clinch the 3rd spot this year. Atma Ram Sanatan Dharm College has improved its ranking too, moving from 6th position in 2023 to 5th this year.
St. Xavier’s College has made its way into the Top 10, securing the 6th position. PSGR Krishnammal College for Women, Coimbatore, has climbed to the 7th place, pushing Loyola College down to 8th. Kirori Mal College has maintained its rank at 9 from last year. Meanwhile, LSR has taken the 10th spot this year, dropping one place from its 9th position in 2023. On the other hand, the Presidency college, Kolkata which held the third position last year has failed to enter the top 10 rank-holders list this year.
