Doyoung, one of the prominent members, recently took the stage for multiple dates of his 2024 DOYOUNG CONCERT [ Dear Youth ] in Japan.However, during his performance of the song ‘Rest’, Doyoung was overwhelmed with emotion, resulting in a touching moment where he broke down in tears. Further displaying his vulnerability, Doyoung shared a personal letter via the bubble app, apologizing for the delay in addressing his fans and for the emotional turmoil that impacted his performance. In his letter, he expressed, “I’m really sorry for being so late, and for sending this message so late to (Y/N), who must have been worried about me. I don’t even know how many times I struggled with how to write this, writing and erasing. The reason it took me so long to figure it out was that this time, I really wanted to think about myself. I was thinking about when it would be truly okay, when I could talk with (Y/N) without any other thoughts. It seems I needed more time, and that’s why it’s so late. “I was truly thankful for yesterday’s and today’s concert. Without realizing it, I cried a lot during ‘Rest’, and I feel very sorry for the Czennies who came to hear me singing as I couldn’t sing properly at the time. If anything I say is misunderstood or leads to misinterpretation, I don’t think I’d be able to see that situation without sadness. So, aside from everything else, I just want to say one thing”, Doyoung wrote.
He continued by expressing his gratitude for the support he received during the concerts despite his emotional struggles, “As always, I will sing my heart out in my place, so please don’t worry about my singing. That’s the most unchanging promise I can make. I will sing as much as you believe in me. Thank you so much for yesterday and today. Starting tomorrow, as always, I think we’ll cherish each other even more than before and spend time together”.
