What does home entail for Salah past next summer? Well, not Liverpool possibly, as the Egyptian spoke on how this could be his last season with the Merseyside Reds.

Liverpool will be rejoicing today, relishing their utter destruction of Manchester United and their talisman Mo Salah’s historic exploits at Old Trafford. But, uncertainty has set in now, as Salah broke the silence around his future with Liverpool.

Salah was in sublime form last night, assisting both of Luis Diaz’s goals and scoring one of his home as he wreaked havoc down the flanks of Old Trafford yet again.

The Egyptian now holds the ridiculous record of being the fifth highest-scorer at Old Trafford since January 24, 2021 amongst all players (including United players themselves). Talk about a second home indeed.

But, what does home entail for Salah past next summer? Well, not Liverpool possibly, as the Egyptian spoke on how this could be his last season with the Merseyside Reds.

“Honestly, I had a good summer, I had a long time to stay with myself and try to think positive, because as you know it’s my last year in the club,” Salah said in a post-match interview with Sky Sports.

“I just want to enjoy it and I don’t want to think about it. I feel I’m free to play football and we’ll see what’s going to happen next year.”

“Nobody in the club talked to me yet about contracts, so I’ve said ‘OK, I’ll play my last season and in the end we’ll see.’ It’s not up to me, nobody talked to me from the club, but we’ll see,” added the Egyptian.

Salah and his Liverpool teammates held nothing back throughout last night, completely outclassing United at Old Trafford, as they stomped the home side to an embarrassing 3-0 loss.

Facing their first real test of the Premier League season so far, Erik Ten Hag’s men crumbled when it mattered, as Arne Slot continues to enjoy his unbeaten start to his first PL season with Liverpool.
