Malavika felt shaken and overwhelmed by the scale of the issue.

The ‘Pattam Pole’ actress further expressed frustration and helplessness over addressing the root causes of violence against women. “How do we get to the root of this and just stop it? It makes you feel helpless,” she pointed out. She highlighted that the issue stems from a deep-seated mindset, not just patriarchy, which affects both men and women. Malavika emphasized the need to tackle this mindset to make real change and admitted she has much more to say on the subject.
Malavika is currently enjoying the success of her Tamil action film ‘Thangalaan’ alongside Chiyaan Vikram and Parvathy Thiruvothu. Directed by Pa Ranjith, the movie also features Pasupathy, Daniel Caltagirone, Hari Krishnan, and Sampath Ram in pivotal roles. The Hindi version will be released on September 6.
