Two women from Madhya Pradesh’s Rewa distruct were almost buried alive on Sunday after goons threw gravel on them from a dumper with the intention of killing them . The incident occurred due to a land dispute and the police has ruled out the angle of casteism from the case.
Speaking on the incident, ADG Law and Order Shri Jaideep Prasad said, “On Saturday, in a family land dispute in Hinota Kothar village of Rewa district, gravel was dumped on two women, Asha Pandey and Mamta Pandey. They belong to the Pandey clan and there was no Dalit woman or man involved in it.”

Following the dispute, one woman got buried in the ground up to her neck and the other up to her waist. Upon receiving the information about the incident, families of both the women rushed to the spot and pulled them out with the help of a shovel.
The condition of both the women continues to remain critical.
