Madhya Pradesh: BJP neta on the run after being accused of sexually abusing minor | Bhopal News

BHOPAL: A BJP worker has been booked by police in Tikamgarh district of Madhya Pradesh for allegedly sexually assaulting a seven-year-old girl.
The accused, Ashish Tiwari, has been a BJP worker for around 15 years, was a member of Yuva Morcha, and has held positions such as membership in charge, say sources.
Recently appointed as MP’s representative to a govt higher secondary school by a Union minister, Tiwari is absconding.Police are looking for him. The incident occurred on the evening of Sep 19.
According to the girl’s mother, the child was riding her bicycle near their home when Tiwari lured her away to his house where he sexually assaulted her and threatened her not to tell anyone about it. But the next day, the survivor confided in her mother, who immediately went to police.
Kotwali police registered a case against Tiwari under Pocso Act.
