‘Ke Prothom Kachhe Eshechi’, the popular Bengali television show is now witnessing Rikdev and Madhubani following the post-marital rituals at the Sengupta residence.
After Rikdev married Madhubani, Rik’s grandmother Surama had denounced him as her grandson. Consequently, Rikdev had left the Sengupta residence with Madhubani and Mihi by his side. After they had settled down at Madhubani’s rented apartment, three of them had embarked on their journey as a family. However, after Rikdev’s grandfather Purnendu fell ill and Madhubani helped him recover, Purnendu declared that Rikdev, along with Madhubani and Mihi would stay at the Sengupta residence. Surama had to agree with Purnendu for the sake of his well-being. When Madhubani entered the Sengupta residence as Rikdev’s wife, she promised Surama that she would not give her any chance to regret her decision.
Once Madhubani entered the Sengupta residence as Rikdev’s wife, she had to navigate her way through a series of post-wedding rituals. Madhubani followed all the traditions and took part in those rituals wholeheartedly. In between the rush of all those rituals, Mihi, who suffered from diabetes, was being neglected. To feed her on time, Madhubani came to the kitchen to fetch some food. Incidentally, Rikdev too appeared in the kitchen at the same time and crossed each other’s paths during the Kaal Ratri. Thammi was enraged to see Rikdev and Madhubani disrespecting the tradition but later understood why both of them had rushed to the kitchen. Thammi scolded Amrita for not paying attention to Mihi while Madhubani and Rikdev were busy in the post-wedding rituals.
Amrita, having felt humiliated, kept plotting to evict Madhubani and Mihi from the Sengupta residence. Her daughter Rumi joined in her evil plans. When Mihi wanted to offer something during Puja, Amrita asked Mihi to offer a bowl of chicken stew. However, Madhubani had noticed Mihi carrying the bowl of chicken earlier and she managed the situation by replacing the bowl of chicken with a bowl of almonds. Later when Thammi asked Rumi to feed Mihi as Madhubani was busy attending the guests during the Boubhaat ceremony, Rumi purposely fed her spicy food.

On the other hand, Madhubani was busy cooking her first meal for her Boubhaat ceremony. Amrita planned to ruin the dish by making it too spicy. Madhubani used the presence of her mind, managed the situation and served a different dish to the guests. However, she understood that Amrita was behind all these.
When the guests came over to the Sengupta residence for the Boubhaat ceremony, Madhubani did not hesitate to introduce Mihi to them. The guests shamed the Sengupta family for their choice of daughter-in-law. However, Rikdev stood firmly by Madhubani and Mihi’s side and spoke strongly against their prejudice. Rik also asked them to leave if they did not feel comfortable with accepting Madhubani and Mihi as part of the family.
