The latest episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 started with rollover contestant Utkarsh Vasudev Mule from Hingoli, Maharashtra. The 10-year-old boy won Rs 12,50,000 before quitting the show. After he made an exit, host Amitabh Bachchan played Fastest Finger First round and Hetvi Patel from Ahmedabad Gujarat made it to the hot seat. The little girl broke down into tears after making it to the hot seat. Host Mr Bachchan got up from his chair and handed a few tissues to the young girl. He consoled her, took back the tissues and kept it in his pockets. He also mentioned to Hetvi that crying on KBC is not allowed and wished her the best for the game. Hetvi studies in class 8th and she reveals she is his ‘Papa ki Sherni’.
When Big B asks her why she is Papa Ki Sherni, the contestant shares usually girls are referred to as Papa Ki Pariyaan but she wants to be strong and doesn’t want to get emotional. She further reveals that she wants to be brave for her family and also look after them. The host pulls her leg that she mentioned how she doesn’t want to get emotional but the moment she got selected she started crying. Hetvi shares they were tears of joy as she is on KBC which is a huge platform and speaking to a superstar like him is a huge deal.
Big B resumes the game with Rs 1000 question. What are such installations used to transmit? She selects Option C) Electricity. In conversation with Hetvi, the host asks her about her relationship with her brother. She describes him as “Tu mera dil, tu meri jaan,” calling him her best friend. Hetvi’s mother shares that her elder brother has an Intellectual Disability and is a special needs child. He struggles with learning due to a lower IQ level and finds daily tasks challenging. Reflecting on their first child, Pratham, Hetvi’s father becomes emotional, recounting how they initially decided not to have more children after learning about Pratham’s condition. However, he eventually chose to have a daughter so that Pratham would have a sibling and lifelong support. The entire family praises Hetvi’s efforts and how she takes care of him. Hetvi shares from playing with him to taking his care, he is always there with him. After the video, Hetvi gets emotional and Big B gets up from his chair and praises her. He takes out tissues and wipes her tears.
She explains that due to her brother’s condition, people tend to avoid him, and even during festivals, they often exclude him from celebrations. She shares she wants her brother to have more friends and Big B urges other kids to be friends with him and praises Pratham.
Hetvi and Big B chat about Gujarati cuisine, with the megastar noting that Gujaratis are sweet-natured, which he jokingly says explains their love for sweets in their dishes. As Hetvi lists different Gujarati delicacies, Big B playfully interrupts, mentioning he’s familiar with them all, having visited Gujarat many times.
After answering next few questions correctly, Hetvi reaches the Rs 80,000 question, but as she is unaware, she decides to use Audience Poll lifeline. Who among these foreign rulers came to the Indian subcontinent before the others? She goes with Option B) Alexander the Great.
Moving ahead in the game, Hetvi is unable to answer the Rs 3,20,00 question and takes the help of her ‘Ask the Expert’. In the Kurukshetra War, which of these referred to a big division of an army? With the expert’s help, she selects Option D) Akshauhini and wins Rs 3,20,000.
