Japan’s First Anime Spoiler Site Arrest: Legal Action Against Copyright Violations |

They made an arrest in the matter and took three individuals in custody for allegedly violating copyright laws of high-profile works, including ‘Godzilla Minus One’ and the anime ‘Overlord III,’ as per CODA. This is the first legal case in Japan on transcribing copyrighted stories that infringe upon intellectual property rights. CODA’s statement explains that the website that the accused operated had copyrighted images. According to CODA’s statement such activities lead to a fall in the interest of the audience in purchasing or viewing the official releases. This further leads to a major setback in revenue generation for the respective industry.
