The talented actor claims that his brother, Shahid Kapoor, was surprised by the accent he adopted in the series.”I think he was really taken aback by the accent, which he was not expecting,” said Khatter. The accent was a decision taken along with Susanne Bier, the director of the series. He said it was something they both agreed on when they were still on set.
Ishaan was equally happy about his mother, actress Neelima Azeem’s reaction. He said Neelima loved the way he portrayed his character in the series, and that indeed gave him a lot of confidence and felt lovely.
In fact, Ishaan confessed that his mother’s opinion might have inclined in his favour but maintained the intensity with which he values her feedback. He went on to acclaim her sharp eye for performance, saying honest critique from her is something he always considers, and there’s no denying her expertise as a seasoned artist herself.
