India’s Full Schedule at Paris Olympics 2024 For August 2, Friday: Events, Timings, Athletes and More

Swapnil Kusale clinched the first-ever Olympic bronze in the 50m rifle 3 positions event, taking India’s overall tally to three at the ongoing Paris Games here on Thursday. All three medals so far for India have come in shooting events after Manu Bhaker won bronze in both 10m air pistol for women and mixed team event with Sarabjot Singh.

India can add one more to the count as archers Ankita Bhakat and Dhiraj Bommadevara will eye a medal in the mixed-team event.

Manu Bhaker will also aim for a chance at competing for history and an unprescident third medal in the 25m Pistol Women’s Qualification Precision.

Golfers Shubhankar Sharma and Gaganjeet Bhullar as well as sailors Vishnu Saravanan and Nethra Kumanan will continue their events into day two.

Indian judoka Tulika Mann will take to the mat.

Athletics action starts with India’s Ankita Dhyani and Parul Chaudhary taking part in the Women’s 5000m heats with Tajinder Pal Singh Toor too getting his campaign underway in the Men’s Shot Put qualifiers.

Shuttler Lakshya Sen will also be in action for a place in the men’s singles semi-final.

The Indian men’s hockey team, already through to the quarter-finals, take on Australia in the last group stage match.
