“The US, Canada, Australia and UK will be apprised on the terrorists operating from Canada,” sources said

India is likely to press for the extradition of Canada-based terrorists with three specific First Information Reports (FIR) as part of the dossier, according to intelligence sources.

“The detailed dossiers will be shared on common platforms. The United States (US), Canada, Australia and United Kingdom (UK) will be apprised of the activities of the terrorists operating from Canada,” sources said.

The ties between the two countries have been strained with Canadian PM Justin Trudeau recently naming Indian High Commissioner Sanjay Kumar Verma as a person of interest in an investigation, without naming the case. A person of interest means a suspect who is not arrested. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) strongly rejected the Trudeau government’s claims, calling them “preposterous imputations”. Trudeau later admitted that he had not provided India with concrete proof regarding the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar on Canadian soil while testifying before the Public Inquiry into Foreign Interference in Federal Electoral Processes and Democratic Institutions in Ottawa, bolstering India’s claims.

THE TERRORISTS IN CANADA

Canada is not sensitive about the demands of India. Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) chief and Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun is operating from the UK, US and Canada, giving every possible threat, but there is no response by the country. Indian missions, Hindus and Sikhs have been attacked by the SFJ. Despite many requests by India, there has been no action against him,” said sources.

They added that the SFJ has also threatened Indian ambassadors and missions, along with a role in murders and extortion gangs operating in Punjab.

Moreover, Sandeep Singh Sidhu is employed by the Canada Border Service Agency and has links with Khalistan terrorists such as Lakhbir Singh Rode and US-based Gurjot Kaur. “It is important for India to probe Sandeep’s role. Arsh Dalla is radicalising youth in criminal activities and many attacks have happened after his appeal. Lakhbir Singh Rode is the mastermind behind two rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) attacks in Punjab, in which investigation is on,” said sources.

Lakhbir is the brother of Sukhdev Singh Babbar, founder of the Babbar Khalsa International (BKI). These men are accused of crimes ranging from extortion to terrorism, with suspected ties to Pakistani agents, said sources.

CNN-News18 has, on multiple occasions, reported how Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) is backing terror activities from Canada and many Sikhs are on its payroll.
