Has the Directorate of Education (DoE), Delhi, announced winter breaks for government schools? According to several media reports, the winter break for Classes 1 to 6 will begin on January 1 and continue until January 15, 2025.
Additionally, the Directorate of Education will introduce a special initiative for students of Classes 9 to 12. Under this initiative, remedial classes will be conducted to help students strengthen their understanding of essential subjects.
Reports suggest that the remedial classes for Classes 10 and 12 will focus on practicing and reviewing pre-board question papers to enhance their preparation.
The Directorate of Education plans to hold these remedial classes in both morning and evening shifts. The morning shifts will run from 8:30 AM to 12:50 PM, while the evening shifts will take place from 1 PM to 5:50 PM. School principals have been instructed to prepare and submit the timetable for these remedial classes before the winter break, ensuring that each period lasts at least one hour, and one break after two classes.
Students, parents, and guardians are advised to contact their respective schools to confirm these details and stay updated, as no notice is available on the official website of the Directorate of Education Delhi.
