Gurmeet Choudhary On His Kids Getting Trolled: ‘We Have Learned How To Deal With The Negativity’

Gurmeet Choudhary reveals that, while they can’t control the negativity, they choose to ignore it and concentrate on the positive things being said about them.
Gurmeet Choudhary and Debina Bonnerjee keep their fans entertained by offering glimpses into their lives on their YouTube channel. While many appreciate and enjoy their content, a portion of social media users resort to trolling them and their daughters. In a recent interview, Gurmeet acknowledged that this is one of the major downsides of fame, but he ensures it doesn’t impact him or his family.
During an interview with Hindustan Times, Gurmeet Choudhary said, “When you’re an actor and a public figure, your life isn’t just your own. We make it public. We are working for all the people, and to get their love, we chose to get into this profession and become public figures. We wanted to be stars. And living a public life, open to all, is the negative side that comes with that sphere.”
Gurmeet Choudhary initially never thought his fame would affect his kids, but over time, he has learned to manage it. He mentioned, “We have learned how to deal with the negativity. When it comes to our social media presence, 80-85 per cent is filled with good and positive things, and 5 per cent of the people troll us and our kids.”
Gurmeet also shared that while they can’t control the negativity, they choose to focus on the positive aspects. He mentioned that they prioritise the love and support they receive, opting to ignore the negative comments directed at him and his family.
Gurmeet and Debina tied the knot on February 15, 2011. The couple welcomed their first daughter, Lianna, in April of last year, and their second daughter, Divisha, in November. Recently, they started sharing more of their lives on social media, which, while gaining them a lot of attention, has also attracted some trolling.
On the professional front, Gurmeet Choudhary is currently seen on the web series Commander Karan Saxena. Apart from Gurmeet, the show also features Hruta Durgule, Iqbal Khan and Anupam K. Sinha in pivotal roles.
Gurmeet is also set to appear in the web series Maharana alongside Shripad Smruti Nitin Panse. He will be also seen in Pooja Bhatt’s upcoming thriller film Jism 3.
