Give me a chance to run Maharashtra, will fulfil all aspirations: Raj Thackeray |
NAVI MUMBAI: MNS chief Raj Thackeray said on Friday he will fulfil the aspirations of voters unmet by other parties over the years.
“I need your precious votes to run the state for only five years and I promise you will not be disappointed. I have a strong vision to live up to your expectations by providing quality and affordable education, free healthcare facilities, space for recreational activities and better infrastructure,” he said at a poll rally in Sanpada, Navi Mumbai, for his candidates, Gajanan Kale in Belapur and Nilesh Bankhale in Airoli.
Commending construction of D Y Patil Stadium, built by private enterprise, he pointed out govt’s inability to develop similar green spaces, alleging incompetence by governing politicians over the years. “I was given an opportunity for five years to run the Nashik civic body, and the transformation there was the talk of the town. There were no potholes, unlike Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai. Once I come to power, the Nashik pattern of development will be implemented in all corporations across the state.”
He took credit for toll tax elimination at Mumbai’s five entry/exit points.
