Our guarantees are fulfilled, they are ‘Patthar Ki Lakeer‘: Amit Shah
Amit Shah detailed the BJP manifesto and lauded the promises for women and farmers. He also took a potshot at Uddhav Thackeray stating that the latter “disregarded” the will of the people by parting ways with the NDA in 2019 “for the greed of power”.
He said that the BJP’s guarantees are bound to be fulfilled as they are “set in stone”.
“We have spoken of Kisan Samman in the manifesto, empowering women. Respect for farmers and the empowerment of women are a part of our manifesto. Aghadi policies are for appeasement. MVA only wants to fool people to get power. Give us a mandate for the third time. We were given the mandate for the first time in 2014, in 2019, the mandate was for BJP, In 2019, the mandate was for us but for greed of power, the mandate was disregarded (referring to Uddhav Thackeray),” he said.
“But lies don’t stand for long so the government fell in 2022. I want to ask Uddhav Thackeray to ask Rahul Gandhi to speak praises about Savarkar and Balasaheb Thackeray. When the BJP makes promises in Manifesto, it is set in stone. they are ‘Patthar Ki Lakeer‘,” Shah stressed.
Amit Shah’s message to Uddhav Thackeray
The Union Home Minister sent out a message to Thackeray, once an ally of the BJP, and reminded him of who “he is sitting with”.
Shah said that Uddhav has allied with those parties who have opposed Ram Mandir, Article 370 abrogation, and “abuse” Veer Savarkar.
“We want India to be the third largest economy by 2027. Congress President (Mallikarjun Kharge) had to tell the party to make promises after a lot of thought. Congress went back on promises in states like HP, Telangana, and Karnataka. I want to remind Uddhav Thackeray that he is sitting with people who oppose Ram Mandir, and who do not approve of the abrogation of Article 370. Uddhav where you will sit, you have to decide — today you are sitting with those against the removal of 370. Uddhav, you are sitting with those who abuse Savarkar,” Shah said.
Maharashtra will go to Assembly polls in a single phase on November 20 and the counting of votes will take place on November 23.
