Former Red Devil Backs Cristiano Ronaldo to Return to Manchester United for a Third Stint

A former teammate and Red Devil believes that Cristiano Ronaldo could make his return to Manchester United for a third chapter with the club.
The Portuguese icon, Cristiano Ronaldo has come a long way since his debut for Manchester United back in 2003. He is now currently regarded as one of the best players of all time and at the age of 39, he still shows glimpses of his brilliance on the field.
The former United striker, Louis Saha has backed the iconic goal-scorer to come back to the club albeit in a different role altogether. The Frenchman has suggested that Ronaldo could come in as a manager for the club in the future.
Talking to TVSporten, Saha as quoted by Goal.com said, “Cristiano Ronaldo has the passion and dedication to return to Manchester United one day, that could be as a coach or even a manager. His second spell didn’t end how everyone had hoped and you can see why that frustrated him, he didn’t see the same formula and didn’t see the passion from young players that he had been used to seeing”.

Ronaldo had made a sensational return to United in August 2021. The Portuguese made the switch back to Old Trafford after his 3-year stint at Juventus. Ronaldo was reportedly close to making a move to the next-door neighbours, Manchester City but after Sir Alex Ferguson intervened, he decided to come back to United.
Speaking on areas he would need to focus on if Ronaldo does coach, Saha believes that he needs to find a different way of conveying information. However, the former Red Devil believes that Ronaldo can get the job done and become a successful manager in the future.
“Now he will know that he needs to find a new way to communicate when he becomes a coach, which maybe isn’t as harsh or direct as it was when he was at the club. He will work out how to be successful and use all his knowledge to do that, we’ve seen Roy Keane go into management and have success. Cristiano will understand what he needs to do as a manager and I see no reason why he wouldn’t be a success,” he concluded.

Currently, Ronaldo is plying his trade in Saudi Arabia which has kickstarted a football revolution within the country in the Saudi Pro League. Following his move to the region, several big-name signings have also moved in to establish the league as among the best in Asia and possibly among the better leagues in the world.
