‘Even in Sh*t Times’: Jude Bellingham Revels After First Goal of Season for Real Madrid

The painful drought for Bellingham finally came to an end as Los Blancos thumped Osasuna 4-0 on Saturday, with Bellingham bagging a goal and an assist in the victory.
The only way out is through. Through the good, bad and even the ‘sh*t’ times as Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham would put it as the England midfielder revelled in relief after scoring his first goal of the season for Real Madrid on Saturday.
Bellingham, along with Real Madrid themselves, has been undergoing a rough patch, finding it difficult to find the back of the net, contrary to his blazing start last season.
Stuck in the middle of a seemingly power struggle-riddled attack of Mbappe, Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo, the Englishman has found it near impossible to find himself in positions to score, and in other moments, squandered his chances to register his name on the scorecard.
But, the painful wait finally came to an end as Los Blancos thumped Osasuna 4-0 on Saturday, with Bellingham bagging a goal and an assist in the victory.
After his victory, Bellingham took to social media to revel in breaking his unlucky stream alongside a number of photos of him celebrating his goal and his team’s win.
“Even in shit times, giving up is not an option. Madridistas, thank you for your incredible support in the good moments and the bad ones,” Bellingham wrote on Instagram.
Madrid heard jeers in its previous two home games — a 4-0 loss to fierce rival Barcelona and 3-1 loss to AC Milan — but this easy 4-0 victory, anchored by Vinicius’ hattrick, came at a high price.
Militão crumbled to the turf while screaming and clutching the back of his right knee shortly before halftime. The central defender was taken off on a stretcher. Rodrygo and Lucas Vázquez also were unable to continue after apparently sustaining muscle injuries in the first half.
“We played a good game and I am happy for the goals, but sad for the injuries to Mili, Rodry and Lucas,” Vinícius said. “I am sad that Mili has to go through this again.”
Vinícius, who apparently felt overlooked when the Ballon d’Or went to Spain’s Rodri last week, got his second hat trick of the season and took his overall tally to 12 goals.
“Vinícius makes the difference,” Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti said. “Not winning the Ballon d’Or is a detail that did not affect him as we can see today.”
Madrid is in second place, six points behind leader Barcelona.
