Debuting with superstar Ravi Teja without any audition was unbelievable, says Edin Rose | Telugu Movie News
Chasing her dreams, she moved to India four years ago.She recalls, “As an only child, my parents were extremely worried at first. I had never lived alone before, let alone in a country where I knew nothing and no one. However, they were also supportive of my ambitions. And so, that’s how I ended up in a country I had only ever dreamt of building a career in.”
To establish herself in the industry, she took the necessary steps, starting with acting workshops. She says, “I began taking acting classes from Saurabh Sachdeva and have been focussing on improving my acting skills over the past two years. I have also been working on my speech, dancing, and learning specialised skills like swordsmanship and boxing. Language was never an issue for me because I grew up watching South Indian movies. Most people don’t know that my dad’s side of the family is Burmese Tamil, and my mom is half from Karnataka. Although we only spoke English at home, watching these movies helped me a lot because I have a full understanding of all South languages.”
Edin in a still from the song
It took her three years to get a break. She says, “It took three years and a chance meeting for me to land a film alongside superstar Ravi Teja. A friend of mine, who works in the Telugu film industry and knows many directors, introduced me to Ravi sir, and a week later, I received a call from the production house for a song. To my surprise, he selected me for a special dance number in ‘Ravanasura’ (2023) without an audition, which was unbelievable.”
Speaking about Edin, Ravi Teja adds, “Edin has a long way to go. Besides her dancing skills, her eagerness to learn more sets her apart from others.”
