OpenAI has shared the details about the recent event when the AI chatbot started the talk

OpenAI’s AI chatbot started talking with people recently without being asked a query. The company explains what caused this change and if it is new feature.

ChatGPT recently showed us the dark side of artificial intelligence (AI) when the chatbot started a chat with a user who was puzzled alright. But the creator of the AI chatbot OpenAI has now come forward and shared the details of what caused this unique event and will it become part of the AI chatbot going into the future.

OpenAI Reveals Why ChatGPT Made The First Move

So, will ChatGPT start having conversations and initiate with more people as we go? OpenAI confirmed that the event was actually a bug, a glitch and not a feature that users can expect ChatGPT to adopt as it evolves. “This issue occurred when the model was trying to respond to a message that didn’t send properly and appeared blank. As a result, it either gave a generic response or drew on ChatGPT’s memory,” OpenAI highlighted the reason why the erratic ChatGPT behaviour was observed.

The ChatGPT maker has burned the excitement among netizens who were getting intrigued by the new ability of the AI chatbot. Some people were even curious to see if they get a new update where ChatGPT starts the conversation but the admission from the company more or less quells those rumours.

Meanwhile, Google’s Gemini AI is getting new features like voice support for all the Android users. That’s right, you don’t need the paid Gemini AI advanced subscription to use the voice chat feature as the company makes it available to all free Android users who can access the Gemini app on their phones.

The news was shared by the Google Gemini App via a post on X, which says, “We’re starting to make Gemini Live available in English to more people using the Android app for free. Go Live to communicate with Gemini, explore a new topic, or brainstorm ideas. Keep an eye on Gemini Live with the Gemini app.”
