After months of grand pre-wedding celebrations for Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, the festivities at the Ambani family home took a more solemn tone on Wednesday, with the family organising a special Shiv puja. The prayer service was a more intimate affair, attended by only a few close friends, family and a handful of celebrities.
For the puja and a mehendi ceremony that followed, celebs came in their traditional best, donning anarkalis and lehengas.Actress Ananya Panday stood out in a striking aubergine lehenga with gold detailing. She paired it wth a blouse featuring a v-neckline and intricate gold embroidery. She completed her look with a matching dupatta draped over her shoulders and a jadau gold necklace.
Ananya further accessorised with golden jhumkas and styled her hair in a sleek centre parting, adorned with a delicate bindi.

Interestingly, the same lehenga was previously worn by the iconic Madhuri Dixit in March 2024 at an event. The veteran star wore the stunning piece with a longer silk top and accessorised the look with a diamond and sapphire necklace.

The pre-wedding festivities saw a star-studded guest list, including Ranveer Singh, Janhvi Kapoor, Shanaya Kapoor and others in attendance.

The main ceremonies will commence on Friday, July 12, with the auspicious Shubh Vivah, the primary wedding function. The celebrations will continue on Saturday, July 13, with Shubh Aashirwad, where blessings will be bestowed upon the newlyweds. The grand finale, Mangal Utsav or the wedding reception, is scheduled for Sunday, July 14.
