Amitabh Bachchan and Vidhu Vinod Chopra can be considered the stalwarts of the Indian film industry. Despite having worked together in the film Eklavya: The Royal Guard, the two had their own share of clashes, including a scolding that Big B faced from the film producer. Vidhu Vinod Chopra, who is otherwise known for his temperament and disciplinary working style, once got furious with Amitabh Bachchan and ended up scolding him on the sets of Eklavya. In the latest of Kaun Banega Crorepati 16, the Kalki 2898 AD actor spilled the beans from his shooting days when he got schooled.

Actor Vikrant Massey appeared on the show with IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma when he got into an interesting conversation about his 12th Fail director. During this time, Big B shared how the filmmaker is a tough taskmaker, recalling that Chopra got angry for a 10-minute delay, despite having worked till 3 AM the previous night. “We worked till 2-3 AM in the night. When we left, he asked me to come back by 6 AM in the morning. I was like, ‘Have you gone mad? You are wrapping up late at night and asking me to come at 6. How is it possible?’ So, I eventually reached the sets at around 6:10 AM, and he ended up scolding me in front of the entire unit. He yelled at me, ‘You are 10 minutes late.’ He is so immersed and passionate about his work,” the actor recalled.

Massey also shared his feelings about working with the film producer, stating it was the “best experience” for him. He revealed a few anecdotes, showcasing how Chopra remained dedicated to his work while filming 12th Fail, also stating that he gave bonuses to all the unit members.

This is not the only time when Chopra and Big B had a minor conflict. Earlier in a conversation with Siddharth Kanan, Vidhu Vinod Chopra revealed a fight with Amitabh Bachchan on the sets of Eklavya. Despite this fact, Chopra later gifted a Rolls Royce car to the actor for “tolerating him” and completing the film efficiently.
