Ajay Devgn, who is a known prankster, recently shared some of his notorious practical joke stories and revealed that in his earlier years, some of his pranks were so extreme that they even caused divorces.
During an interaction with YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, a behind-the-scenes clip was shown to Ajay and Singham Again director Rohit Shetty. In the video, Ajay was seen pulling a prank on a cameraman during a film shoot. Rohit responded to the video, laughing as he recalled an elaborate prank they once pulled. “This is a small prank. We once sent a woman and kids to a production team member’s house, claiming she was his first wife. We have gone to that level too,” he said.
Ajay reflected on the past, admitting the pranks were often more intense than what pranksters dare to do today. “These days, pranksters worry about someone getting offended. We didn’t think about that back then. Humare wajah se ek-do divorce bhi ho chuke hai (There have been 2-3 divorces because of us),” he said.

Actor and costume designer Dolly Ahluwalia also shared a hilarious anecdote from the set of Omkara, where Ajay’s pranks had some crew members in fits. “Ajay Devgn was the biggest prankster on the sets of Omkara. Once a few guys fell unconscious due to a prank. They had brought a ladoo made of bhaang, and whoever ate it for the first time just fell unconscious. Ajay and Vivek Oberoi used to say, ‘Don’t worry, they will be fine.’ Vishal Bharadwaj was a little upset, but he knew them, so there was never a serious situation on set. We need such fun moments on set to work, to be honest,” she said in an interview.

Ajay and Rohit Shetty are currently basking in the success of Singham Again, with the film nearing the Rs 200 crore mark at the Indian box office.
