Aishwarya Rai Bachchan shields daughter Aaradhya from flashlights while leaving with Abhishek Bachchan, sparks mixed reactions online: ‘She is 13, not 3’
Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan were spotted on Friday attending the second day of the annual function at Dhirubhai Ambani International School in Mumbai. The couple, joined by Aishwarya’s mother, Vrinda Rai, were present to cheer for their daughter Aaradhya, a student at the school.
After the event, Aishwarya displayed her trademark grace and care by escorting her mother to the car and saying “I love you” before bidding her goodbye. Later, she was seen showering Aaradhya with kisses and praises for her school performance. As the paparazzi captured the mother-daughter moment, Aishwarya shielded Aaradhya from the flashlights, a gesture that received mixed reactions online.
While some praised her protective instincts, others questioned the need for such gestures for a 13-year-old. One user commented, “Maa hai, protect karegi hi,” while another one wrote, “She is 13, not 3.” Another user was in awe of Aishwarya’s parenting, “Aishwarya ne apni bachi ko bohat najuki se pala hai.”
Abhishek, dressed in a green co-ord set, and Aishwarya, in an elegant black outfit, looked every bit the doting parents. The star-studded event also saw celebrities like Vidya Balan, Ishaan Khatter, cricketer Harbhajan Singh, and Radhika Merchant in attendance.
The couple also attended the event on Thursday, joined by Amitabh Bachchan. Videos from the day showed Abhishek protectively holding Aishwarya’s hand as they entered and ensuring she didn’t step on her dupatta. The appearance of the Bachchan family together effectively quashed ongoing rumors of a rift between Abhishek and Aishwarya.
Speculations about tension in their marriage had circulated since July, when Aishwarya and Aaradhya attended Anant Ambani’s wedding without the rest of the Bachchan family. However, their recent joint outings signal harmony within the family, silencing whispers of trouble.
