“5,000 Pagers, 3gm PETN, Coded Message…” How “Mossad” Rigged, Blew Up Hezbollah Comms | US Unaware

Israel’s Mossad spy agency reportedly rigged thousands of Hezbollah communication devices before they were handed over to the group. Reports claim Mossad placed PETN*, a highly explosive material, on the batteries of the devices, and detonated them by raising the temperature from afar. A Lebanese security source said the pagers were from Taiwan-based Gold Apollo, but the company said it did not manufacture the devices, as per Reuters. A Lebanese source told Reuters that the devices had been modified by Israel’s spy service “at the production level”. Meanwhile, the US said it was not aware in advance and had no involvement in mass explosions of pagers used by Lebanon’s Hezbollah.
